Order Information

We reply to e-mail inquiries daily. If you do not receive a reply within 24 hours, we did not receive your e-mail, our reply was bounced because your mailbox is full OR the address does not work.

We begin shipping in late April, depending on weather conditions, and continue until the end of September. Orders received after hot weather arrives will be shipped in early September.

Shipping is not included in the price listed. There is a fixed shipping and handling charge of $15.00 for each order, plus $1.00 per plant ordered. We ship by Priority Mail within the US only.

We ship healthy, true-to-name plants, packed to withstand the rigors of normal shipping conditions and time frame. Please do not hold us responsible if the USPS fails to deliver in a timely manner, which fortunately is very rare. Contact us immediately if there is any problem and we will do our utmost to resolve it. We do not accept returns.

Our hostas are from 1/2 gallon nursery pots or field-grown divisions, shipped bare-root. We try to send at least two divisions, but some of the slow-growing or newer varieties may consist of one large eye only. We send mature, well-rooted divisions that are ready to thrive in your garden. Miniature hostas are often shipped in their containers. Older and fast-growing varieties are likely to have three or more eyes.

We grow more than 1300 varieties of hostas. If you do not see your heart's desire listed, do inquire, as we may have some but too few to list on the web site.

Please place all orders through this shopping cart. Telephone orders are accepted during regular business hours (10 a.m.-6 p.m.) EST. PLEASE LEAVE MESSAGE so we can call you back! Personal checks can take as long as three weeks to clear, according to our banker. Your plants will not be shipped until payment is received..
